JOEL LOU
Joel is also the Co-Founder of Blue Cloud Ventures, a software-focused growth equity Venture Capital firm based in the USA. He is also a Board member at Charleston Holdings (a family office focusing on Diversified Commodities and Infrastructure investments in Asia). He was formerly the CEO of JustCommodity Software Solutions, acquired by Allegro Development, and is now part of ION Group, the leading global commodities management provider. Under his leadership, JustCommodity won numerous awards, including Singapore Enterprise 50, Deloitte Technology Fast 500, “Best tech company to work for” in Singapore, and the Red Herring Global 100 Award.
Joel was conferred the “Most Promising Entrepreneur of the Year” by APEA in 2011, the “Young Professional of the Year” in the IT leader awards in 2012, and conferred “Ten outstanding young persons – TOYP” by Junior Chamber International in 2016. Joel is active in the Singapore tech community and has served as an Executive committee member for the Singapore Enterprise Chapter at the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation.
He has served as an Advisory council member of the Singapore Management University's International Trading Institute. He has contributed as an adjunct lecturer for the International Trading Institute at the Singapore Management University since 2013.
Joel is presently a Charter Member and Former Board Member of TiE Singapore. He received a Master’s of Business Administration from Imperial College London.
